Job Purpose
Lead design, development, governance, and continuous optimization of enterprise BI and data platforms.
Own the data lifecycle from source extraction and integration through semantic modeling, reporting, and executive analytics.
Provide leadership for BI platform administration, infrastructure reliability, and cross-functional technical collaboration.
BI Strategy and Data Architecture
- Own BI architecture across Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Lead Microsoft Fabric adoption, Lakehouse integration, and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medallion Architecture.
- Lead Tableau-to-Power BI migration, including conversion of calculated fields and measures to DAX.
- Define fact and dimension data modeling standards for semantic models.
Data Engineering and Analytics
- Design, manage, and optimize high-volume SSIS ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Manage incremental refresh and query-folding strategies for large-scale fact tables.
- Perform SQL Server tuning, including query optimization, execution plans, transaction logs, and compression.
- Develop DAX analytics for credit aging, margin analysis, and demand baselines.
- Prepare executive summaries, financial analyses, investment studies, dashboards, and presentation decks.
Administration and Infrastructure
- Administer Power BI workspaces and gateway clusters across Azure and on-premises environments.
- Manage access, permissions, licensing, periodic access reviews, activity monitoring, and Tableau Server upgrades.
- Ensure data handling aligns with Saudi National Cybersecurity Authority requirements.
- Coordinate hybrid infrastructure support involving Azure VMs, VPN connectivity, and on-premises SQL Server.
Core Technical Skills and Tools
- Power BI Desktop, Service, DAX, and Power Query/M; Tableau Desktop and Server; and executive dashboards.
- SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, ETL/ELT, large-scale fact tables, incremental refresh, and query folding.
- Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Medallion Architecture, Power BI Gateways, Microsoft Purview Audit Logs, PowerShell, Admin APIs, Azure VPN, and virtual machines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, management information systems, or a related field.
- Extensive enterprise BI, data warehousing, analytics platform, and large-scale hybrid BI environment experience.
- Microsoft Fabric and modern Lakehouse architecture experience is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and Saudi regulatory compliance frameworks.
