Tata Electronics Private Limited is a greenfield Tata Group venture focused on manufacturing precision components.
The company is building an AI-enabled semiconductor foundry producing chips for power management, display drivers, microcontrollers, high-performance computing, automotive, computing, storage, wireless communications, and AI applications.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process quality control inspections at various stages of semiconductor production.
- Develop and implement procedures to identify defects and deviations in manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and conduct statistical and root cause analysis.
- Monitor production processes for compliance with industry standards and maintain quality control documentation.
- Provide real-time feedback, support continuous improvement, and conduct audits of quality control protocol adherence.
- Train production staff on quality control procedures and collaborate with R&D on new product quality measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Experience
- At least five years of relevant experience in the EMS industry.
Essential Attributes
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 industry standards.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques such as JMP and Minitab.
- In-depth knowledge of IC packaging processes and PCBA.
- Hands-on experience with SPC, FMEA, MSA, 8D, and the seven quality control tools.
- Quality control certifications such as Six Sigma are a plus.
