Apple's Creativity Apps team seeks an engineer to architect and build media-management and collaboration features for creative tools.
The role works with teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork to create tools for creators.
The engineer will help establish direction and architecture for collaborative features and influence product development beyond coding.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build new collaborative features for creative applications.
- Work with human-interface designers, quality assurance teams, and cross-functional teams.
- Influence decisions spanning user interface and project planning.
- Drive features from concept through delivery and support sustainable software development.
Minimum qualifications
- At least two years shipping high-quality, tested code on iOS and/or macOS.
- Strong understanding of Apple-platform architectural patterns, computer science fundamentals, and object-oriented design.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and at least one UI framework: SwiftUI, UIKit, or AppKit.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Interest in an Apple creative app such as Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, or GarageBand.
- Experience with modern Swift concurrency, including async/await and actors.
- Proficiency with Swift Testing and/or XCTest.
- Commitment to accessibility and localization.
Compensation
- Base pay range is $119,100 to $230,500; pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Benefits include medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products and services, and eligible education reimbursement.
- Discretionary stock programs, bonuses, commission payments, and relocation may be available subject to eligibility and applicable terms.
