Join an early engineering team building next-generation tools for creators and creative apps.
Work with teams behind Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and iWork on media management and collaboration features.
Role responsibilities
- Set direction and architecture for new collaborative features in the creative space.
- Architect and build media management and collaboration features for creative tools on Apple platforms.
- Drive features from concept through delivery.
- Collaborate with human interface designers, QA, and cross-functional teams, influencing user interface and project planning.
Minimum qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience shipping high-quality, tested code on iOS and/or macOS.
- Strong understanding of Apple-platform architecture patterns, computer science fundamentals, and object-oriented design.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and at least one UI framework: SwiftUI, UIKit, or AppKit.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and own product features; willingness to ask for help and learn.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills; commitment to an open and inclusive work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Interest in Apple creative apps such as Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, iMovie, or GarageBand.
- Experience with Swift concurrency, including async/await and actors.
- Proficiency with Swift Testing and/or XCTest.
- Commitment to accessibility and localization.
Compensation and benefits
- The stated base pay range is $119,100 to $230,500; pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
- Benefits include medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products and services, and eligible education expense reimbursement.
- Employees may be eligible for discretionary stock programs; the role might also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commission payments, or relocation.
