Inventory Controller
About This Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor inventory across all business units
- Develop and implement standardized inventory policies and procedures
- Ensure accurate stock accounting, reconciliation, and reporting
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels
- Analyze inventory trends and identify slow-moving or obsolete stock
- Highlight zero/low movement items and take corrective actions
- Conduct periodic stock audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Prepare inventory reports for management and stakeholders
- Drive cost control initiatives and minimize inventory discrepancies
- Oversee ERP inventory modules and ensure effective system utilization
- Support inventory budgeting and forecasting
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role at Head Office level
- Mandatory experience working within a Group of Companies structure
- Prior experience in India is required
- Strong exposure to trading businesses (MEP, building materials, food/meat preferred)
- Solid understanding of multi-entity inventory management
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
