Job Summary
The Materials & Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, control, monitoring, and optimization of construction materials inventory across all projects and warehouses.
This role ensures material availability while maintaining optimal stock levels, minimizing excess inventory, and supporting procurement operations through effective inventory management and system controls.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within the real estate development or construction industry, managing large-scale inventories, warehouses, and ERP-based inventory systems.
The role will play a key part in enhancing inventory visibility, implementing best practices, and driving process improvements across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control inventory levels across warehouses and project sites to ensure material availability and optimal stock levels.
- Monitor stock movements, material consumption, transfers, and inventory accuracy.
- Oversee warehouse and store operations, including receiving, storage, issuance, and stock reconciliation.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Project teams to support material planning and replenishment.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and stock verification activities.
- Identify and address slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
- Support ERP implementation, system enhancements, and process automation initiatives.
- Develop inventory control procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Prepare inventory reports, stock analysis, and management dashboards to support decision-making.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in inventory, materials, or warehouse management within the construction or real estate industry.
- Strong experience managing large-scale inventories and multiple warehouse locations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in system implementation or inventory process optimization is highly preferred.
