Inventory Control Analyst

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Execute management-directed procurement procedures and adjustments using FuelQuest.
• Monitor fuel inventory and adjust levels based on forecasted needs.
• Review vendor performance and service levels; provide after-hours and weekend on-call support.
• Work with management on forward buys and contracts.
• Coordinate with third-party transportation vendors and identify applicable cost savings.
• Review alternative or non-traditional fuel purchasing opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with store operations, logistics, accounting, manufacturing, and store brands.
• Communicate market and supplier issues to category managers and support service-level and inventory-turn objectives.
• Execute retail pricing adjustments using Kalibrate Fuel Pricing Solution.
• Process purchase orders and goods receipts in SAP; provide weekly reports to management.

Knowledge and qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of buying, merchandising, and retail operations.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP reporting and transactional applications.
• Communicate effectively, maintain accuracy and confidentiality, and prepare reports and business correspondence.
• Analyze and interpret information, conduct research, and draw valid conclusions.
• A related bachelor's degree and five or more years of related experience are preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 21 to drive for Company business under the stated driver policy.
• Address hazards when reasonably possible and report hazards that cannot be immediately remedied.
