Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Interventional Cardiology Specialist based in Dubai, with relocation to Oman required as part of the role.
The specialist will perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the cath lab, including coronary angiography, angioplasty, and stenting, while adhering to clinical protocols and safety standards.
Daily responsibilities include assessing and managing patients with cardiovascular conditions, interpreting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans.
The role involves participation in on-call rotas, pre- and post-procedure patient care, and close coordination with nursing, anesthesiology, and electrophysiology teams where applicable.
The specialist will also contribute to quality improvement activities, clinical documentation, patient education, and, where required, training and mentoring of junior medical staff.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical foundation in cardiovascular disease and cardiology, with proven experience in managing complex cardiac conditions.
- Extensive hands-on experience in cath lab environments, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath procedures.
- Familiarity with electrophysiology concepts and procedures is an advantage, particularly in integrated cardiac care settings.
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship/specialization in Cardiology; additional subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology preferred.
- Valid or eligible medical licensure for practice in Oman (and willingness to complete licensing requirements); GCC experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, with strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, patient safety, continuous professional development, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in English required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is beneficial in a multicultural clinical environment.
