Internal Audit - Energy & Utility - Senior Manager

Role purpose

Engagement delivery

• Lead consulting engagements focused on operational excellence, process improvement, risk management, internal controls, governance, compliance, and business transformation.
• Assess and redesign asset management, maintenance planning, project controls, procurement, contracting, HSE, plant operations, outage management, supply chain, commercial operations, customer service, and regulatory reporting.
• Support target operating models, policies, procedures, SOPs, delegation of authority matrices, performance dashboards, and governance frameworks aligned with regulations and leading practices.
• Conduct maturity and gap assessments, benchmarking studies, control reviews, cost optimization reviews, and implementation roadmaps; turn findings into actionable recommendations.
• Manage client relationships, project budgets and finances, coaching, and resources across a client portfolio.
• Create, review, and deliver complex client materials, including executive reporting and detailed documentation.
• Work with other service lines, including Risk and Governance, Technology Consulting, and Data & Digital teams.
• Build professional relationships with clients and colleagues and pursue business development opportunities across the region.
• Assist leadership in developing a long-term vision and strategy for business growth.

Work arrangement

• The role is primarily based in the Dubai or Abu Dhabi office and serves local clients, with collaboration across the Middle Region.
• Travel to and work in other locations may be required.

Experience and qualifications

• 10–15 years of consulting experience, especially with a technical background; Big Four or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Proven track record in the stated Energy & Utilities domains and exceptional knowledge of the sector, processes, and supporting tools.
• Experience delivering projects across assessment, design, and implementation support.
• Ability to identify key issues and potential risks and recommend ways to address problems.
• Engineering degree plus MBA is preferred.
