About the Department

Position Duties

• Updates and maintains the CIP database, Master needs inventory and other tracking databases that DPW uses for project prioritization. Performs field inspections to determine the needs of the Capital program. Attends staff and public meetings to learn public/private interactions of municipal government. This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Working towards a degree in a technology or engineering related field. Previous internship experience in engineering or technical field. Effective written and oral communication skills. Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to prioritize, multi task and meet deadlines. Computer literate (database work experience, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

Other Qualifications

• Office environment and some field work will be required for inspections and research. Some after-hours work may be requested.
