Role overview

Design and documentation

• Develop design concepts, mood boards, and space-planning layouts for functional and aesthetic interiors.
• Prepare execution-ready layout, electrical, lighting, ceiling, flooring, joinery, and furniture drawings aligned with site requirements.
• Create 3D designs and renders, present concepts to clients, and revise designs based on feedback.

Clients and site coordination

• Understand client requirements, preferences, and budgets; translate them into practical design solutions and manage expectations.
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and vendors; conduct site visits to check implementation and resolve design challenges.

Experience and education

• Requires 5+ years of overall interior design experience, including at least 2 years in the Dubai/UAE market.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Residential or luxury interiors experience is preferred.

Technical skills

• Required tools include AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max with V-Ray or Corona, and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; Revit is preferred.
• Required knowledge includes space planning, materials and specifications, joinery, custom furniture, lighting, ceiling detailing, BOQ preparation, cost understanding, and design for execution.
• Requires knowledge of Dubai authority approvals and regulations such as DCD, DM, and Trakhees, plus familiarity with local vendors, materials, sourcing, and UAE clients and projects.

Location and site work

• The position is for Dubai, UAE, and includes site visits to verify implementation and resolve on-site design issues.
