Purpose of the role
Analyze, design, develop, and implement Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) integration applications for internal company use and clients.
Ensure reliable data integration and transformation across business applications.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in information technology or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position and at least 1 year developing Java applications.
- Experience designing database schemas and building high-performing stored procedures, views, and functions in SQL Server and Oracle.
- Experience transforming XML and flat files, including CSV, fixed-width, and EDI formats.
- Understanding of web services concepts, protocols, and security standards.
- Knowledge of Java Groovy is an advantage.
Skills and attributes
- Coding and debugging in multiple programming languages; data integration and transformation; database connectivity, configuration, and optimization.
- Problem-solving, attention to detail, teamwork, and ability to deliver on schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver projects and provide working, tested, high-quality software on schedule.
- Document existing and new applications throughout the software development life cycle.
- Maintain and support existing applications; optimize database queries and execution plans.
- Perform unit tests, fix bugs, and troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.
- Provide training to end users.
- Other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.
