Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Register and verify Insurance for non-invasive charges. (Approx. 100 charges a day)
· Create encounter and enter charges with ICD-10 and CPT codes.
· Run Claim Edits
· Back up Patient Keeper holding tank charges
· Verify demographic and Insurance for hospital E/M charges.
· Crosswalk charges for location and/or place of service.
· Register and verify Insurance for PadNet charges monthly. (Approx. 20 charges per month)
Requirements
- QUALIFICATIONS
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Computer skills required for word, excel, group practice management system.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple simultaneous tasks.
- Possess effective communication skills with patients, employees, management and physicians.
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
