Instrument / Analyzer Engineer for the Ras Laffan shutdown.
Role covers instrumentation and analyzer warranty issues and construction work for shutdown and non-shutdown scopes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare solutions for current instrumentation and analyzer warranty issues, including site investigation and discussion with home-office engineers and Qatar Gas.
- Plan and prepare shutdown and non-shutdown construction work, including site investigations, inspection plans, and method statements.
- Lead subcontractors and coordinate among CCJV, Qatar Gas, and subcontractors.
- Prepare material requisitions and perform technical bid evaluations.
- Supervise construction work, perform field execution, and conduct field inspections.
- Review and mark up engineering drawings; review construction scope and method statements.
- Review ITPs and vendor documents; communicate with vendors.
- Review vendor-system scope and detail it to meet site requirements.
Requirements
- 15 years of experience.
- Must have experience on a Qatargas project as a contractor.
- Must have both office and site experience.
- Instrumentation engineering experience with a controls background and knowledge of analyzer and vendor systems.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Skills include engineering drawing review and markup, MTO, requisitions and technical bid evaluation, construction scope and method statement review, vendor communications and document review, ITP review, and field execution.
Work setting
- Work includes both office and site experience, site investigations, construction supervision, and field inspection and execution.
