Role overview

Your role

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and installations for compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Review electrical plans, drawings, and blueprints; monitor compliance with local and international codes and safety standards.
• Identify non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain records of inspections, findings, approvals, and rejections.
• Liaise with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address compliance issues and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in inspection-related meetings and promote electrical safety practices.
• Conduct safety inspections to identify hazards and verify appropriate safety measures.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Professional Electrical Inspector certification is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Inspector or in a similar construction role; building or villa project experience is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and standards, including NEC and IEC.
• Analytical skills, ability to interpret technical documents and drawings, communication skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; proficiency in relevant documentation and reporting software.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the UAE; familiarity with construction safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
