Infrastructure Engineer

Skill: Infrastructure engineer, virtualized/cloud infrastructure, Windows/Linux, Azure or AWS infrastructure, Security protocols, VPNs, Root cause analysis (RCA), Infrastructure architecture and government project experience.

Ensuring high availability, performance, and security of IT environments through monitoring, automation, and regular patching.

Managing both physical hardware and virtualized/cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) to enable business continuity.

Installing, configuring, and updating physical and virtual servers (e.g., Windows/Linux), storage systems, and networks.

Managing hybrid or multi-cloud environments, including Azure or AWS infrastructure.

Using specialized tools to monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and ensure optimal uptime.

Utilizing scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., DevOps) to automate provisioning, deployment, and configuration management.

Implementing security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and patching schedules to protect data and infrastructure.

Establishing backup, redundancy, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

Capable to perform backup restoration whenever needed.

Acting as an escalation point to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues.

Working with developers and IT teams to align infrastructure capabilities with application needs and company growth.

Proactively monitoring and optimizing network and system performance, including capacity planning and trend analysis.

Driving proactive issue resolution through root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive measures.

Maintaining comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture, configurations, SOPs, and incident resolutions.
