Responsibilities

Source and originate Ready-to-Build solar and BESS projects through developers, landowners and industry networks
Lead technical, grid, planning and commercial due diligence on acquisition opportunities
Drive transactions end to end, from first conversation through negotiation and close
Assess project risks across grid connection, permitting, land and construction readiness
Lead selective greenfield solar and BESS projects from site identification through Ready-to-Build
Work with our technical team to develop grid connection strategies with AEMO, DNSPs and TNSPs
Build strong relationships with developers, advisors, landowners and stakeholders across the Australian market
Ensure acquired and developed projects are deliverable, scalable and ready for construction

Requirements

Experience in utility-scale solar, BESS or renewable energy development, acquisitions or M&A
Track record of originating, assessing or closing renewable energy project transactions
Strong understanding of Australian grid connection processes, including AEMO, DNSPs and state approvals
Solid technical and commercial understanding of solar PV and battery storage projects
Exceptionally driven and high agency, with a history of making things happen without direction
Comfortable operating at pace in an ambiguous, early-stage environment
Strong network across Australian developers, landowners and industry stakeholders is a plus
