IT Project Manager Governance Support - (Banking）

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• **Project Tracking & Reporting:**
• Ensure weekly tracking of project progress and deliverables.
• Maintain and update project status reports, dashboards, and governance documentation.
• Provide timely updates to stakeholders and leadership on project health.
• **Engagement Model Governance:**
• Attend and facilitate project meetings with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and circulate minutes of meetings with clear action items and ownership.
• Monitor follow-up actions to ensure accountability.
• **Risk & Dependency Management:**
• Identify, document, and track project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Develop mitigation strategies and escalate critical risks to leadership.
• Maintain a risk register and dependency log for governance oversight.
• **Financial Governance:**
• Track project costs, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor variances against approved budgets and highlight potential overruns.
• Support financial reporting and compliance with organizational standards.
• **Governance Framework Compliance:**
• Ensure adherence to project governance policies, methodologies, and best practices.
• Drive consistency in project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Support audits and compliance reviews as required.

Education Qualification & Experience

• **Education:**
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.
• Master’s degree or PMP/Prince2 certification preferred.
• **Experience:**
• At least 8 to 12 years of experience in IT project governance, PMO, or project management roles within banking or financial sector.
• **Technical Skills:**
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Power BI, etc.).
• Financial tracking, budgeting and reporting expertise.
• **Soft Skills:**
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Ability to enforce accountability while maintaining collaborative relationships.
