Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Informatica Architecture & Design
- Own and define the end‑to‑end Informatica data integration architecture aligned with Data Lakehouse target state.
- Design and govern batch, near real-time, and real-time integration patterns .
- Define architectural standards for development, deployment, and operations across environments.
Data Integration & Engineering
- Architect and oversee enterprise data integration pipelines using Informatica for:
- Source system ingestion
- Transformations
- Incremental and historical loads
- Ensure reliable, scalable, and reusable ETL/ELT frameworks.
Real-Time Integration
- Design and support real-time data integration using:
- Informatica PowerExchange
- CDC and event-based ingestion patterns
- Ensure low-latency data availability while maintaining data consistency and quality.
Informatica PowerExchange
- Architect and govern Informatica PowerExchange for:
- Real-time and near real-time data capture
- Change data capture (CDC)
- Ensure reliability, error handling, and recovery mechanisms for streaming and CDC pipelines.
Platform & Runtime Architecture
- Architect and manage Informatica Runtime, Server, and Platform components .
- Oversee deployment and configuration across:
- On‑prem and private cloud environments
- Dev, Test, UAT, and Production
- Ensure stability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Database & Integration Layer
- Design and optimize integrations with Oracle databases and other enterprise source systems.
- Ensure efficient connectivity, performance, and transactional integrity.
Application & Execution Frameworks
- Architect Informatica integration execution with:
- Tomcat (application server)
- Spark (distributed processing where applicable)
- Ensure performance optimization and fault tolerance at runtime level.
Phase 1 Remediation & Phase 2 Support
- Assess inherited Informatica implementations from Phase 1.
- Identify gaps in design, performance, scalability, or governance.
- Define and lead remediation, rebuild, or optimization activities.
Performance, Stability & Operations
- Define performance tuning strategies for mappings, workflows, and sessions.
- Ensure monitoring, logging, alerting, and recovery mechanisms.
- Support ≥99.9% uptime requirements.
Collaboration & Governance
- Work closely with:
- Enterprise/Data Architects
- Data Engineers
- Platform and Operations teams
- Participate in architecture reviews, design walkthroughs, and governance forums.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to Informatica developers.
Required Skills & Expertise
Core Informatica Skills
- Strong expertise in Informatica Data Engineering & Data Integration
- Hands-on experience with:
- Informatica PowerCenter / equivalent
- Informatica PowerExchange (CDC, real-time)
- Experience with Metadata Repository / Metadata Management
Real-Time & Integration Technologies
- Real-time and near real-time data integration patterns
- Event-driven and CDC-based ingestion architectures
Platform & Runtime
- Informatica Runtime, Server, and Platform architecture
- Application servers: Tomcat
- Distributed processing: Spark
Databases
- Strong experience integrating with Oracle databases
- Understanding of transactional systems in BFSI environments
Non-Functional Expertise
- Performance tuning and optimization
- Scalability and capacity planning
- High availability and fault tolerance design
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in large, regulated, multi-vendor environments
