About The Role
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Infection Control Specialist to develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs within our healthcare facility.
The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with national and international infection control standards and promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Conduct surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and analyze infection trends.
- Monitor compliance with hand hygiene, isolation precautions, and infection control practices.
- Investigate infection outbreaks and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide infection control education and training to healthcare staff.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with clinical departments to reduce infection risks and improve patient safety.
- Prepare reports, statistics, and presentations related to infection control activities.
- Support accreditation requirements and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related healthcare field.
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in infection prevention and control within a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare-associated infections, surveillance methods, and isolation precautions.
- Familiarity with Ministry of Health (MOH) and CBAHI infection control standards.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and report preparation.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
