INDIAN CUISINE EXPERT CHEFS

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare authentic North Indian and South Indian dishes according to the menu.
• Prepare curries, gravies, tandoori items, biryani, breads, snacks, and other regional dishes according to experience.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
• Manage food preparation, ingredient portioning, and kitchen mise en place.
• Maintain food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and safe food-handling practices.
• Monitor ingredient freshness, storage, and stock levels; minimize waste and follow portion-control procedures.
• Coordinate with the kitchen team for timely preparation and service.
• Follow recipes, kitchen procedures, and Head Chef or management instructions.
• Support menu preparation and quality standards during busy service periods.

Candidate requirements

• Proven experience as an Indian Cuisine Chef in a restaurant, hotel, lounge, or similar hospitality establishment.
• Strong knowledge of authentic Indian flavours, spices, cooking techniques, and regional dishes.
• Ability to prepare food consistently while managing service-time requirements.
• Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and storage practices.
• Good teamwork, time-management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Previous UAE or GCC hospitality experience is an advantage.

Compensation

• Full-time position with pay stated as AED 1,100 to AED 7,300 per month; salary is based on experience and culinary skills.

Workplace

• Work location is in person at Desire Sheesha Lounge in Dubai.
