Role overview

Support Maintenance Tasking & Verification at strategic and tactical levels to improve operational efficiency and minimise costs.

The role supports continuing airworthiness and contract delivery for aircraft fleets and maintenance activities.

Core activities

  • Analyse aircraft or component maintenance requirements against approved fleet plans, resolve issues where practical, and ensure timely Statements of Work.
  • Develop work packages with technical instructions and resource and materiel requirements; identify independent inspection and safety-critical tasks.
  • Plan additional and emergent maintenance work, manage schedules, and update and re-authorise Statements of Work as changes arise.
  • Coordinate with Fleet Planning, Demand Management, Part 145, Technical Services, Airworthiness Records, and third-party suppliers.
  • Review maintenance task performance and related review processes, identify trends, and escalate issues across responsible maintenance locations.
  • Assess customer requirement changes, including fatigue-life limits, capability upgrades, and approved modification programmes, and implement them appropriately.
  • Check maintenance certificates against the approved Statement of Work to confirm requirements are completed or correctly authorised and deferred.

Accountabilities

  • Meet delivery targets, report impacts on continuing airworthiness, document activities, and maintain airworthiness records on relevant IT or paper systems.
  • Compile reports, identify and escalate issues, and comply with applicable company procedures and standards.
  • Apply human factors and error-management principles; support governance, assurance audits, responses to findings, and improvement actions.
  • Support regulatory-driven changes and comply with applicable regulatory and contractual requirements, including ITAR, EaPW, and ISO where applicable.

Requirements

  • Recognised NVQ3/ONC-level qualification in a relevant Data Management or Technical discipline, Part 66 Category A qualification, or suitable equivalent.
  • Recent in-depth Maintenance & Support experience, including direct support or maintenance of aircraft fleets and associated Continuing Airworthiness Records.
  • Understanding of reliability programmes and their effect on operator maintenance programmes, and of data integrity for fleet planning and maintenance tasking.
  • Ability to advise data integrity teams on records issues for individual aircraft, components, and fleets.
  • Human Factors and E&PW course and a UK driving licence.

Candidate skills

  • Good to strong quantitative and analytical skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
  • Product knowledge and understanding of interfacing and contributory areas.
