Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full sourcing cycle, including strategy development, supplier pre-qualification and evaluation, tender preparation, evaluation of responses, negotiation of terms and conditions, and contract finalisation to meet business requirements and as per company standards/policies.
- Source chemicals and raw materials from international suppliers based on business and customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with overseas manufacturers, traders, and distributors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with UAE and international suppliers.
- Ensure UAE customs duty optimisation and FTA preferential tariff utilisation where applicable
- Manage procurement ERP data (SAP MM or Oracle Procurement) and purchase order processing.
- Manage supplier risk including financial assessment, geographic concentration, and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with UAE Federal Procurement Law for government entities, Federal Law.
- Report monthly procurement savings, spend analysis, and supplier KPIs to the Supply Chain Director.
- Monitor global chemical market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks.
- Coordinate with the Sales team to ensure product availability and timely order fulfilment.
- Track shipments and ensure timely delivery while minimizing procurement and logistics costs.
- Ensure compliance with import/Export regulations, trade policies, and company standards.
- Maintain vendor performance records and identify new sourcing opportunities.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate in Chemistry, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA in Supply Chain, International Business, or Marketing preferred.
- 10-15 years of experience in chemical procurement, import operations, or international trading atleast 7 yrs in Dubai.
- Candidate should know the local language Arabic.
- Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per hour
