Role overview

Gateway development and integration

• Design, construct, test, and deploy MPGW, WSP, XML Firewall, and API Gateway objects on DataPower appliances.
• Create XSLT stylesheets, Gateway Scripts, and processing policies for transformations such as JSON to XML and SOAP to REST, message enrichment, and dynamic routing.
• Integrate DataPower gateways with API management platforms such as IBM API Connect and enterprise service buses such as IBM MQ.

Security, operations, and delivery

• Implement policies using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, mTLS, JWT validation, and WS-Security.
• Manage cryptographic profiles, SSL/TLS profiles, PKI, and automated certificate renewal procedures.
• Monitor appliance CPU, memory, and throughput; troubleshoot bottlenecks and failures using logs, trace tools, and DataPower Probe.
• Automate builds, versioning, and deployments using Git, Jenkins, Nexus, and DPConfig/DCM frameworks.
• Maintain architectural blueprints, interface control documents, and configuration guides to enterprise standards.

Requirements

• Experienced IBM DataPower Developer with experience developing and maintaining integration solution objects on DataPower Gateway appliances.
• Experience implementing enterprise security policies, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, mTLS, JWT validation, and WS-Security.
• Experience with XSLT, Gateway Script (Node.js/JavaScript), processing policies, payload transformation, and routing.
• Experience integrating DataPower with API management platforms and enterprise service buses such as IBM MQ.
• Experience managing cryptographic profiles, TLS profiles, PKI, and certificate renewal procedures.
• Experience with appliance monitoring, troubleshooting, logs, trace tools, and DataPower Probe.
• Experience automating builds, versioning, and deployments with Git, Jenkins, Nexus, or related frameworks.
