HVAC Technician

Role overview

Duties

• Operate, maintain, and monitor hotel HVAC equipment; prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Keep plant rooms and equipment premises safe and presentable; process and close work orders under HotSoS procedures.
• Identify major repair needs and maintain, repair, check, and record chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation, pumps, motors, and CCU/VRF/split AC units.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout and PTW procedures; maintain work records, preventive-maintenance schedules, work-order logs, and status updates to the Engineering control desk.
• Coordinate installations and repairs with contractors and other departments; operate BAS and assemble components to standards.
• Plan jobs and long-term operations, implement preventive maintenance, ensure repair quality, install smaller AC systems, modify existing systems, review contractor plans, and inspect contractor work.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the same role; luxury property or resort experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to resolve engineering issues using theoretical and practical knowledge.
• Good understanding of hotel operations and general civil works.
• Proficiency in predictive maintenance and maintenance software applications.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
