Being a leading specialist in the design and manufacture of high-quality HVAC systems, dampers, filtration, and refrigeration solutions, primarily for the oil & gas, marine, renewables, and nuclear industries, the company was established over 30 years ago, with an aim to provide bespoke, robust solutions for harsh environments. Founded in 1986, the company has grown into a global group with offices and manufacturing facilities in the UK, Singapore, Houston, Dubai, Malaysia, and China.
Roles & Responsibilities
The HVAC Project Manager is responsible for managing all phases of HVAC project execution from order to commissioning.
This includes scope definition, design review, procurement, resource planning, installation supervision, stakeholder coordination, and final handover.
The role ensures technical compliance, IMO/SOLAS certifications, schedule adherence, budget control, and full compliance with safety, quality standards and adherence to Wozair company policies and procedures.
🧩 Project Planning & Kickoff
- Define HVAC scope of work in collaboration with clients, end user, and internal stakeholders
- Develop project execution plans (PEP), work breakdown structures (WBS), and milestone charts
- Lead project kickoff meetings, risk assessments, and design workshops
🏗️ Design Review & Coordination
- Oversee HVAC design deliverables including load calculations, and equipment selections
- Coordinate with Mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and instrumentation teams for integrated design
📦 Procurement & Vendor Management
- Prepare and review technical specifications for procurement of HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, ACCUs, Control Panels, Dampers, Fans, and other in-line accessories, etc.)
- Evaluate vendor submittals and ensure alignment with project design and performance criteria
- Monitor procurement schedules and ensure timely delivery to meet site execution needs
👷 Site Execution & Supervision
- Supervise HVAC installation activities through site engineers and supervisors
- Ensure installation complies with approved drawings, codes, and quality standards
- Review daily site reports, resolve technical issues, and enforce safety practices on site
⚙️ Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Plan and lead HVAC system testing, air/water balancing, and integrated system commissioning
📊 Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor progress against project baseline using KPIs (cost, time, scope, quality)
- Prepare progress reports, dashboard summaries, and client updates
- Manage project change orders, variation claims, and technical clarifications
💰 Cost & Budget Management
- Track project budgets, approve expenses, and control cost overruns
- Support procurement with value engineering and vendor negotiations
- Maintain accurate cost forecasts and billing schedules for invoicing
🤝 Client & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants during project lifecycle
- Conduct review meetings, respond to RFIs, and resolve client concerns proactively
- Ensure client satisfaction, project transparency, and positive handover experience

Technical Skills & Tools
- Project Management Tools: MS Project, Primavera, ERP/CMMS
- Knowledge of:
- Chillers, AHUs, ACCUs, Control Panels, Dampers, Fans, and other in-line accessories
Soft Skills
- Strategic planning and execution mindset
- Strong leadership and team management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Risk management and problem-solving capabilities
Work Conditions
- Primarily UAE office based
- Frequent travel to vendor, client, or consultant locations as required
- May involve extended hours during critical project milestones or shutdowns
