Role overview

The role supports HVAC BIM delivery through development, coordination, and management of Revit models for building-services projects.

The description identifies the position as Senior BIM Modeller and calls for technical guidance to junior team members.

HVAC modeling and coordination

  • Develop and maintain HVAC Revit models across project stages.
  • Model chilled-water and condenser-water systems, AHUs, FCUs, and supply, return, extract, and fresh-air ductwork.
  • Model smoke-extract and pressurization systems, VRF and split air-conditioning systems, and district-cooling interfaces.
  • Model plantrooms and roof-level equipment layouts.
  • Follow project BEPs, modeling standards, and LOIN requirements.
  • Support clash-detection and coordination reviews; implement comments, revisions, and clash-resolution updates.
  • Audit model health and integrity, and produce drawings, sections, details, schedules, and duct and pipe annotations.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, BIM, architectural, structural, and other MEP teams.
  • Manage assigned model packages, meet agreed timelines and quality standards, and escalate issues to the BIM Coordinator.

Technical skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and a strong understanding of HVAC systems and building-services coordination.
  • Experience with family creation and editing; knowledge of shared parameters, worksets, templates, and BIM standards.
  • Good understanding of clash detection and coordination processes.
  • Communication, collaboration, attention to detail, quality control, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior BIM professionals and manage multiple deliverables.

Quality, standards, and safety

  • Apply BIM best practices and support ISO 19650 information-management principles and Common Data Environment workflows.
  • Deliver models to company standards and client requirements; perform model audits and verify the completeness and accuracy of drawings, schedules, and model outputs.
  • Work safely, comply with health, safety, and environment policies, report hazards and incidents, and follow project safety and quality requirements.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct, collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence; support knowledge sharing and team development.
