Role overview

Pay

• Pay is £42,359.67 per year.
• Shift workers receive an additional 20% pay uplift.

Working hours

• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Participation in on-call rotas is required.

Qualifications and experience

• The introduction requires NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing.

• Proven experience in a mechanical, HVAC, and electrical environment is required.
• A good working knowledge of health and safety regulations is required.
• Healthcare or large, complex-site experience is advantageous but not essential.

What you will do

• Manage and monitor BEMS and HVAC systems and maintain hospital environmental conditions.
• Respond to reactive maintenance issues, alarms, and faults; diagnose and find faults.
• Check systems regularly and log observations, faults, and performance data; record system changes accurately.
• Work on installed building services systems, learn new techniques and legislation, and share knowledge with team members.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs across multiple hospital sites as part of on-call rotas.
• Assist with small-project planning and delivery, including specifications, quotations, and orders.
• Work safely under relevant regulations, risk assessments, and permit-to-work procedures.
• Provide technical support, diagnostics, and fault resolution for HVAC and building services systems.
