Role overview

Responsibilities

• Advise employees and leaders on HR matters.
• Maintain accurate HR systems and records in line with policies, agreements, and legislation.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, engagement, performance, and absence management.
• Process payroll data and adjustments and resolve payroll queries.
• Build relationships across the workforce and leadership team.
• Prepare absence, performance-review, and ad hoc HR reports.
• Respond to walk-in employee enquiries.

Qualifications and attributes

• A tertiary qualification in HR or a related discipline is desirable.
• Mining, heavy-industry, or construction experience is desirable.
• Resilience, openness to change, and demonstrated ability to drive best practice.
• Strong time management, planning, prioritization, and deadline management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
• SAP and Excel experience are highly regarded.

Schedule and employment

• Full-time, permanent role.
• Monday to Friday, with a nine-day fortnight option.

Workplace and location

• Based at Capcoal Mine in Middlemount, Queensland.
• Onsite HR team role with work-from-home options available.
• Residential, company-funded FIFO, and DIDO options are offered.
