About This Role
Overview
The HSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees, contractors, vendors, and guests.
The role includes conducting inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, safety training, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and international safety standards.
Experience
in the theme park, entertainment, leisure, hospitality or Facilities Management industry is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in the State of Qatar and the company’s HSE Policies, Standards and process
- Assist the HSE Manager and Supervisor in the implementation of safety programs throughout the company’s premises.
- Assist in identifying potential hazards and take corrective action.
- Be involved in the reporting and investigating of near-miss accidents, accidents and incidents.
- Involved in daily inspections and notifies the supervisor/manager regarding areas of concern.
- Participate in all safety meetings and trainings.
- Assist HSE Manager and Supervisor to coordinate and conduct trainings.
- Monitor and Manage Park operation activities.
- Response to any emergency situations involving injury and/or property damage within park premises.
- Be part of the implementation of the company’s HSE safety policies, standards and procedures to assure an accident-free environment.
- Recommend corrective actions to the HSE Supervisor.
- Ensure and anticipate that all necessary safety plans, equipment, resources and staff are in place in order to deal with all foreseeable major incidents within the company premises.
- Coordinate and implement work permit procedure and polices.
- Assist the HSE Manager/Supervisor in crucial safety related tasks such as Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analysis, Control of Work, Root Cause Analysis, Investigations and Emergency Fire Evacuation Drills.
Requirements
- High School Diploma / NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification
- Good knowledge of HSE Standards and Procedures
- Knowledge of local authority regulations regarding health & safety.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in Health & Safety field of work preferably within Amusement Parks, Theme Parks or Family Entertainment Centers are highly preferred.
- Well versed with basic computer systems. and usage of MS Office
- Good communication skill both written and verbal
- Pay: QAR4,000.00 per month
