- ****Job Description****
- The HSE Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all health, safety, and environmental aspects across rail projects.
- This role ensures full compliance with regulatory and client requirements while promoting a strong safety culture across all project phases.
- The position requires proven experience in rail infrastructure projects and the ability to manage HSE risks in complex, high-risk environments.
- ****Key Responsibilities****
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with regulatory and rail industry standards.
- Lead all HSE activities across rail project sites, ensuring safe execution of works.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and implement mitigation measures specific to rail operations.
- Ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and company HSE requirements.
- Perform regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
- Deliver HSE inductions, training, and awareness programs to staff and subcontractors.
- Monitor and report HSE performance, including KPIs, incidents, and improvement initiatives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for HSE matters with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote a proactive safety culture across all rail project activities.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in HSE within similar projects.
- Mandatory: Proven experience in rail/infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, rail safety standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience managing HSE on complex, high-risk projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
