Health Safety and Environment Manager

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE management systems in alignment with client, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure full compliance with local Saudi regulations, international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and corporate HSE procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and job safety analyses for all data center operations, maintenance, and construction activities.
• Manage incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action tracking.
• Serve as the primary HSE point of contact for client representatives, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee contractor HSE performance, including onboarding, audits, and compliance verification.
• Develop and deliver HSE training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors. Perform regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor and report on key HSE performance metrics, trends, and compliance status to senior management.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills for fire, electrical, and critical facility scenarios.
• Drive environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste management, energy efficiency awareness, and environmental compliance. Support commissioning, operations, and maintenance teams with safe work practices in a mission-critical data center environment.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of HSE experience, with at least 5 years in mission-critical facilities (data centers, utilities, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and international standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Proven experience managing HSE programs in construction and/or operational environments.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC/Diploma, IOSH, or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in incident investigation and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment with strict safety requirements

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Experience working in Tier III/IV data centers or hyperscale environments. Familiarity with electrical safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and critical infrastructure risk controls.
• Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and ESG reporting practices.
• Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills using HSE management systems and dashboards.
• Experience working with multinational teams and high-profile clients such as Equinix.
• Ability to influence safety culture and drive behavioral-based safety programs.
