Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement the project HSE management system and promote a strong safety culture across work fronts.
• Oversee contractor HSE performance, audits, inspections, Permit to Work compliance, RAMS reviews, and corrective-action close-out.
• Manage HSE risk controls for dredging, reclamation, marine construction, and port operations or infrastructure interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, procedures, and requirements; prepare HSE reports, KPIs, and performance updates.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, and manage corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with project leadership, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve HSE issues and maintain safe, compliant delivery.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or a related field, or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of relevant HSE experience, with strong marine or ports project exposure.
• Demonstrated marine or port experience covering dredging and reclamation, marine construction, port infrastructure or operations, and equipment safety.
• Professional HSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, IEMA, IRCA, or equivalent.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.

Desired experience

• Experience on large, high-profile marine or ports programmes with client-facing HSE governance is desired.
