HSE Engineer (Solar PV & BESS Project)

Confidential. This role supports a high-profile solar PV and BESS project in the UAE. Project and client details will be shared with shortlisted candidates only.

Role Description:

The HSE Engineer will support the Consultant supervision team to ensure compliance with project HSE standards during construction and commissioning of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facilities. The role involves monitoring contractor activities, enforcing safety procedures, and ensuring adherence to project specifications and UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor contractor compliance with approved HSE plans, RAMS, and PTW systems.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
• Ensure safe execution of civil, electrical, and BESS installation works.
• Identify safety non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and incident reporting.
• Coordinate with Client, Consultant, and EPC HSE teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Minimum

10 years total experience

, including

5 years as HSE Inspector/Engineer on Solar PV projects

• Experience on

at least one BESS project

is mandatory.

• Technical experience covering:
• Utility-scale Solar PV construction sites
• Civil and electrical installation safety supervision
• Substations and grid connection works
• BESS installation and commissioning safety practices
• High-risk activities (lifting, work at height, electrical energization)
• Professional HSE certification preferred (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).
• Consultant/PMC project experience preferred.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in the UAE and mobilize within one month.

Monthly Package:

AED 19,000 (All-Inclusive). Candidates are responsible for accommodation, transportation, food, and other personal expenses. The client will provide the Residence Visa and medical insurance.
