Join a landmark, large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant integrated with a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
This high-profile, strategic project will play a pivotal role in the UAE's clean energy transition.
Due to the confidential nature of this initiative, project and client names will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates only.
The Role
The Civil Inspector for the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) will be responsible for the quality oversight of all civil and structural works for this critical project component.
You will ensure that all foundations, structures, and related civil works are executed precisely according to the approved designs, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
▸ Inspect all civil and structural works related to the BESS installation, including foundations, concrete works, and structural steel.
▸ Verify that construction activities align with approved drawings, project specifications, and safety standards.
▸ Monitor the quality of materials used (e.g., concrete, rebar) and witness relevant testing.
▸ Prepare daily inspection reports, document findings, and track the closure of any identified issues or non-conformities.
▸ Coordinate with the EPC Contractor's site team to ensure adherence to quality procedures.
▸ Review method statements and inspection and test plans (ITPs) for civil works.
Qualifications & Experience
- *Education:*
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or demonstrating commensurate experience.
- *Experience:*
- A minimum of 10 years of post-graduate experience in the relevant discipline on EPC projects.
- *BESS Experience:*
- Must have experience on a minimum of one (1) BESS project.
- *Solar Experience:*
Experience
- on at least two (2) solar PV projects as a PMC is required.
