Job Summary
Al Marwan Group is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer / HSE Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance for road and bridge construction projects across the U.A.E. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in major road, highway, bridge, or infrastructure projects and a strong understanding of construction safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, client requirements, and company HSE policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
- Monitor road, bridge, excavation, lifting, scaffolding, and other construction activities.
- Implement HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, and emergency response plans.
- Conduct incident investigations and prepare HSE reports.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness training.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project HSE requirements.
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, safety statistics, and documentation.
- Identify site hazards and implement appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
- Promote a strong safety culture across the project.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3+ years of UAE experience in road, bridge, or infrastructure construction projects.
- NEBOSH IGC Certification is mandatory.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety standards.
- Experience in excavation, lifting operations, work at height, confined spaces, traffic management, and other road/bridge construction activities.
- Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
