Overview

  • The HR Operations Specialist (Payroll) is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting HR operations and employee lifecycle activities.
  • This role works closely with Finance, HR, and external payroll providers to maintain payroll compliance, data integrity, and a positive employee experience.
  • Payroll Administration* Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
  • Review payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, bonuses, allowances, overtime, and deductions.
  • Validate payroll data and resolve discrepancies before payroll submission.
  • Coordinate with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll execution.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, social insurance requirements, and company policies.
  • Prepare payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation as required.
  • Manage employee payroll-related inquiries and provide timely resolutions.
  • HR Operations* Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle transactions.
  • Process employment letters, salary certificates, and HR documentation.
  • Monitor attendance, leave balances, and timekeeping records for payroll purposes.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied.
  • Support HR audits and compliance reviews.
  • Generate HR reports and analytics for management decision-making.
  • Compliance & Continuous Improvement* Maintain confidentiality of employee information and payroll data.
  • Stay updated on labor law, payroll, and regulatory changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in HR projects and system enhancements as required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

1-3 years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll Administration, or a similar role.

Experience

processing payroll for medium to large employee populations is preferred.

Experience

working with HRIS and payroll systems.
