- At Emirates Group, we connect the world through our global hub in Dubai, ensuring our customers always ‘Fly Better.’ As one of the most recognised and admired brands globally, we’re driven by innovation and excellence.
- As **Governance & Compliance Manager** , you will develop, manage and enhance Governance & Compliance practices across the People Experience team and One HR, leveraging industry best practice to drive consistency, effectiveness and continuous improvement. Working closely with HR teams and key internal stakeholders, including Data Privacy Office , Internal Audit, and Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A), you will help embed robust governance and compliance frameworks that support the delivery of efficient, effective and rewarding employee experiences across the people lifecycle.
- Through strong governance, process standardisation, quality assurance, and audit compliance practices, you will enable HR to deliver better outcomes across areas such as workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, productivity, employee engagement, attrition and retention.
- You will develop and maintain comprehensive frameworks for process improvement, management controls, continuous monitoring, and compliance across process, system and data landscapes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and integrity.
- In addition, you will support the delivery of key Enterprise Strategic Themes, including Regulatory Compliance, Business Agility & Efficiency, Business Growth, and Employee Experience, helping to ensure HR remains a trusted, forward-thinking and value-driven partner to the business.
- In this role, you will:
- Manage process governance across the People Experience team and the wider One HR organisation by monitoring and assessing processes, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending innovative solutions, including AI, chatbots and Robotic Process Automation (RPA), to improve workflows, operations and employee performance. - Proactively identify and recommend industry best practices for process governance, automation and continuous improvement. Assess and consolidate current and future process, technology and data requirements across One HR, and lead initiatives that enhance performance and growth while fostering a culture of autonomy, openness and lean-agile continuous improvement.
- Define and implement the One HR process and data governance strategy in alignment with Emirates Group governance and compliance requirements, covering Data Protection (access, security and privacy), Data Quality Assurance, and Metadata Management.
- Manage data governance activities in partnership with ED&A and a network of Data Custodians and Data Stewards across One HR. Represent HR in ensuring people data is governed effectively and managed as a corporate asset across source systems and the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). Collaborate across HR teams to implement data protection and quality requirements, and support decisions on metrics, KPIs and metadata standards.
- Remain current with industry trends in data governance and data management, and support the development of analytics self-service capabilities across One HR.
- Manage data risk and compliance by working closely with HR teams, including Data & Analytics and Employee Data Management, to ensure data quality, protection, consistency and governance standards are maintained across all employee data.
- Establish and manage an internal quality and control framework to support effective process risk management across One HR. Evaluate risk profiles, promote awareness, implement controls and accountability measures, and continuously monitor and improve the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Own knowledge management by maintaining the accuracy, relevance and compliance of People Experience manuals, SOPs and related documentation. Work with Systems & Technology and Data & Analytics teams to ensure documentation reflects business requirements, system enhancements and process changes.
- Lead the adoption of analytics, governance and data management practices across One HR through coaching, capability building and training. This includes analytics power-user development, systems training, process and SOP training, and data governance compliance practices.
- Manage relationships with external professional bodies, industry associations, consulting firms and academic institutions to benchmark best practices and identify opportunities to drive innovation, process improvement and operational excellence.
