Housing Program Supervisor
Role Overview
The Housing Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the development, administration, and monitoring of federally funded disaster and entitlement programs and projects being implemented in areas recovering from natural disasters.
The primary responsibility will be to ensure that housing programs are eligible under local, state, and federal regulations; adhere to the HUD-approved Action Plan; and maintain proper documentation to support all eligible expenses incurred by the disaster agency.
The position also assists in implementation of complex housing programs including new multi-family rental developments, reconstruction, and/or rehabilitation of multi-family rental housing or similar projects.
The incumbent is expected to provide high-level expertise across a broad range of subject matter areas including HUD housing standards, project management, compliance and monitoring, federal reporting, procurement, and HUD standardized construction and eligibility standards applicable for each project.
This position requires travel of up to 50%, depending on project needs and workload.

Experience
- Three (3) or more years’ experience with state and local governments, and the types of initiatives/programs necessary to help them build their economy and culture, required
- Three (3) or more years’ of direct experience with the development and implementation of complex housing programs, required
- Three (3) or more years’ experience with HUD housing programs and housing financing resources (e.g., HOME, SAIL, tax credits, and/or bonds), required
- License/Certifications:
- Software:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g.,Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required
- Proficiency with project management software, preferred
- Language:
- Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to internally monitor all program and project activities to ensure quality control and quality assurance and preparedness for Federal audits of program activities
- Ability to manage complex cross-functional teams to achieve high levels of production, meet tight deadlines, and deliver compliant and quality work products
- Ability to execute program activities, manage client relationships, and ensure profitability
- Ability to lead a team and achieve successful business results
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, emotional intelligence, and critical thinking skills,
- Demonstrates high-level of integrity and ethics
- Team player with the ability to build organizational capability and motivate team/ partners/staff to ensure high levels of engagement
