Overview

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Housekeeping Attendants and assign work schedules effectively.

Issue room keys, cleaning supplies, and equipment to Housekeeping Attendants while ensuring proper control procedures are followed.

Attend daily operational briefings and communicate priorities, VIP arrivals, special requests, and operational updates to the team.

Monitor room status, including VIP arrivals, Do Not Disturb (DND), Sleep-Out, Double-Locked, and vacant rooms, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions.

Verify room check-outs before releasing rooms as vacant in the system.

Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure service recovery whenever required.

Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, service pantries, and stairwells to ensure they meet brand cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards.

Ensure all guest room amenities, linen, and supplies are replenished according to hotel standards.

Identify and report maintenance defects, safety hazards, and repair requirements immediately, ensuring timely follow-up.

Supervise the cleanliness and maintenance of housekeeping equipment, machines, trolleys, and storage areas.

Conduct regular quality inspections using departmental checklists and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Assist in inventory control and ensure proper handling and storage of housekeeping supplies, chemicals, linen, and equipment.

Ensure safe chemical handling practices and compliance with housekeeping cleaning procedures and health & safety regulations.

Complete required operational reports, including Lost & Found documentation, maintenance reports, and room inspection records.

Train, coach, and mentor Housekeeping Attendants on cleaning techniques, service standards, safety procedures, and departmental policies.

Monitor team performance, provide constructive feedback, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Foster effective communication and collaboration with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, Food & Beverage, and other hotel departments.

Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction by resolving housekeeping-related concerns efficiently and professionally.

Support the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager with additional operational duties as assigned.
