Housekeeping Manager role overseeing all housekeeping operations at a luxury brand resort in Sharjah, UAE.
The role leads and develops a large housekeeping team and maintains exceptional service standards.
Qualifications and experience
- Graduate in Hotel Management or a related field.
- 10 years of hospitality experience, including three years in a similar high-volume role with a large team.
- Experience with European luxury hospitality standards is preferred.
- Strong leadership, people management, organization, multitasking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- English communication skills are required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Budgeting and cost control experience, operational efficiency skills, and experience in structured luxury environments with formal service standards.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full housekeeping department; maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards.
- Conduct daily inspections and walkthroughs to ensure compliance with luxury standards.
- Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management; develop housekeeping systems, procedures, and service standards.
- Manage departmental budget, cost control, and forecasting; control linen, uniform, and cleaning-supply inventory.
- Coordinate procurement and suppliers; ensure maintenance issues are reported and followed up.
- Oversee pest control and deep-cleaning programmes; provide on-the-job training and staff development.
- Prepare operational reports, resolve operational issues and complaints, and drive efficiency improvements and best practices.
Salary and benefits
- Salary is AED 20,000–24,500 per month, depending on experience.
- Benefits will be discussed at interview.
Location and relocation
- Role is based at a luxury resort in Sharjah, UAE.
- The client will arrange a work visa and relocation for candidates who are not local.
