Housekeeping Attendant - Sharjah

Job purpose

Key responsibilities

• Greet employees, customers, and guests pleasantly and courteously.
• Clean assigned areas to required quality and hygiene standards within established timeframes.
• Clean offices, pantries, restrooms, common areas, accommodation facilities, and other designated areas.
• Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, clean ceiling vents, empty waste baskets, and replenish pantry and restroom supplies.
• Keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and orderly; perform heavy cleaning and special assignments as required.
• Collect and dispose of litter and waste, and maintain adequate stocks of cleaning supplies and tools.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist with loading or offloading trucks delivering or collecting food items and supplies.
• Check offices and facilities regularly for cleanliness and proper upkeep.
• Support new employees during orientation and daily tasks when required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is acceptable.
• Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude and maintain a well-groomed, presentable, organized appearance.
• Be physically fit for frequent movement and active engagement; be able to operate standard office equipment and machines when required.
• Have fair written and spoken English proficiency.
• Be willing to work a 24/7 shift pattern and long working hours.
• Work cooperatively in a multicultural environment, multitask, and attend to detail.
• Prior experience is not mandatory if required competencies are demonstrated; 1–2 years of similar service-industry experience is advantageous.
