Role overview

Guest and dining-room service

• Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
• Guide guests through dining rooms and assist as needed.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including seating for groups with special needs.
• Provide clean, appropriate place settings and check that menus are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
• Monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being.

Work-area and team standards

• Maintain clean work areas using clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Welcome guests and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Communicate professionally, maintain positive working relationships, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Follow company and safety policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training, and protect confidential information and company assets.

Preferred qualifications and role conditions

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• No related work experience is required or supervisory experience specified.
• No license or certification is specified.
• Work involves extended periods standing, sitting, or walking and moving or lifting up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Schedule and workplace

• Full-time schedule; position is not remote.
• Restaurant duties are performed in the dining room and other work areas.
