Full-time, non-management Host/Hostess position in Food and Beverage & Culinary at The St. Regis Residence in Doha, Qatar.
The role is not remote and involves welcoming and seating dining guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables.
- Guide guests through dining rooms and provide assistance as needed.
- Arrange tables, chairs, and settings, including seating for groups with special needs.
- Check that place settings and menus are clean, current, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
- Monitor seating availability, service, safety, and guest well-being; maintain clean work areas throughout the day.
- Follow company and safety policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and welcome guests according to company standards.
- Communicate professionally, answer telephones appropriately, support colleagues, and meet quality standards.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
Preferred qualifications
- No related work experience or supervisory experience is required.
- A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is listed as a preferred qualification.
- No license or certification is listed; required safety training and certifications must be completed.
