Position

Guest welcome and dining room service

• Welcome guests, determine party size, seat them at clean available tables, and provide clean, current menus.
• Guide guests through the dining room and assist according to their needs.
• Move and arrange tables and chairs, manage room layout, and coordinate seating for groups with specific needs.
• Check seating and ensure guests have clean napkins, silverware, and other standard items.
• Monitor seating availability, service, guest safety, and guest well-being in dining areas.

Standards and working practices

• Keep work areas clean throughout the day and follow ongoing cleaning procedures.
• Follow safety procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean uniform and professional appearance, protect confidential information and company property, and welcome guests according to brand standards.
• Communicate courteously, use appropriate language on the telephone, and build positive relationships with colleagues.
• Maintain quality standards, remain active for extended periods, and move or carry loads up to 4.5 kilograms without assistance.
• Perform other duties requested by managers that correspond to the position.

Recommended qualifications

• No related work experience is required; previous experience in a restaurant environment is recommended.
• A secondary school diploma or equivalent is recommended.
• No supervisory experience or license or certification is required.
