What you’ll do

• Provide a genuinely welcoming and memorable experience for our guests, from a Hox welcome, to handling any questions and helping out with requests.
• Deal with the coming and going of guests, making sure all bills are correct and contain no surprises.
• Work with all our teams to make sure we're always busy and help our restaurant team with any individual and group bookings.
• Answer phones, sort out requests, give recommendations - you're the one-stop-shop for our guests to turn to.
• Take reservations over the phone, handle cash and card payments and help out the team on the floor.
• Master the use of the online reservation system and be sure to add all necessary information to reservations.
• Anticipate needs and proactively provide solutions so that our guests’ expectations are not only met but exceeded.

• Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing a naturally friendly, helpful and responsive level of service to all our guests, ensuring they are treated as individuals and will want to return.
• We’ve opened our doors in Edinburgh’s charming West End - our very first Hox in Scotland. Set across 11 beautiful Georgian townhouses, we’re home to 214 bedrooms, a lively open lobby and bar, an all-day Italian trattoria Patatino, a retro-inspired cinema, a flexible and super-size event space called The Get Together, and The Apartment – our unique signature spot for meetings, private dinners and memorable gatherings.
• Patatino is our all-day Italian trattoria serving fresh pasta, wood-fired pizzas, and all the spritzes and Italian wines you could wish for. Inspired by the glam and romance of the sun-soaked Amalfi coast, it’s a spot for long, joyful meals with friends, where old-school charm meets modern design, with bold colours, cosy corners, and plenty of personality.
