Horticulturist

Overview

Planning & Execution

• Plan, supervise, and execute soft landscaping and horticultural activities.
• Ensure proper implementation of planting and landscape designs on site.

Plant Selection & Management

• Select suitable plants, trees, shrubs, turf, and seasonal flowers based on climate and project requirements.
• Monitor plant health, soil conditions, fertilization programs, irrigation systems, and pruning schedules.

Pest & Disease Control

• Identify and treat plant diseases, pests, and nutritional deficiencies using appropriate methods.
• Implement preventive care measures to maintain plant health and quality.

Quality & Site Supervision

• Ensure proper planting techniques and maintain high-quality standards on all sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess landscape and plant conditions.

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with irrigation, maintenance, and project teams to ensure optimal plant performance.
• Prepare detailed site reports and progress updates as required.

Team Guidance

• Provide technical supervision, guidance, and training to gardeners and site staff.
• Support continuous improvement in landscaping practices and site quality standards.

& Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in landscaping or horticulture (UAE experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of regional plant species, irrigation practices, and horticultural standards.
• Proven ability to manage site teams and multiple activities effectively.
• Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality standards.
