Horticulturist

Overview

Planning & Execution

• Plan, supervise, and execute soft landscaping and horticultural activities
• Ensure proper implementation of planting and landscape designs on site

Plant Selection & Management

• Select suitable plants, trees, shrubs, turf, and seasonal flowers based on climate and project requirements
• Monitor plant health, soil conditions, fertilization programs, irrigation systems, and pruning schedules

Pest & Disease Control

• Identify and treat plant diseases, pests, and nutritional deficiencies using appropriate methods
• Ensure preventive care measures are implemented to maintain plant health

Quality & Site Supervision

• Ensure proper planting techniques and high-quality standards are consistently maintained on site
• Conduct regular site inspections and assess landscape conditions

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with irrigation, maintenance, and project teams to ensure optimal plant performance
• Prepare detailed site reports and progress updates

Team Guidance

• Provide technical guidance, supervision, and training to gardeners and site staff
• Support continuous improvement in landscaping practices and quality standards

& Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field
• 5–7 years of experience in landscaping or horticulture (UAE experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of regional plant species, irrigation practices, and horticultural standards
• Proven ability to manage site teams and multiple activities effectively
• Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality standards
