- Managing a patient’s healthcare plan according to the Physician’s instructions
- Bathing and grooming the patient daily
- Checking temperature, blood pressure, pulse and other vital signs
- Administering and maintaining a record of all prescribed medication
- Checking for infection, bedsores and wounds in the patient
- Educating and advising Caregivers in the household
- Dressing or redressing wounds and assessing the progress of healing
- Developing and improving the healthcare plan in collaboration with other healthcare personnel in the household
- Providing palliative care as needed to keep the patient comfortable
- Make recommendations for devices ot tools that might improve the patient’s quality of life
