Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site presence at project locations and some work-from-home flexibility.
The Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer will oversee daily HSE activities across fit-out sites, ensuring compliance with local regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits; identifying hazards; and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
The role involves developing and implementing HSE plans, toolbox talks, and training sessions for site teams and subcontractors.
The HSE Officer will investigate incidents and near-misses, maintain HSE records and reports, coordinate with project managers and authorities on safety matters, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Workplace Safety skills, with the ability to implement practical safety measures on active construction and fit-out sites.
- Candidates should possess Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge and Occupational Health competencies, including risk assessment, incident prevention, and regulatory compliance.
- Candidates should possess NEBOSH or equivalent recognized HSE certification, demonstrating formal training in safety management and best practices.
- Candidates should possess experience in construction or interior fit-out environments, with familiarity in local HSE regulations, permit-to-work systems, and site supervision.
- Candidates should possess strong communication, reporting, and training skills, as well as the ability to influence diverse site teams and work collaboratively with project stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess good organizational and time-management skills, proficiency with standard office and reporting tools, and the capacity to work independently across multiple concurrent projects.
